Learn to Draw & Paint… Starting Now!

Hi, I’m John Morfis.
I’m the artist & instructor behind HelloArtsy. I spend my days happily selling my oil paintings and teaching others how to paint like a pro. My artwork has been hung in museums and has been featured in multiple fine art magazines including American Art Collector & Fine Art Connoisseur.
I truly believe anybody can learn to draw and paint. It’s all about having the correct instruction. Want to know more? Read my full story.

Getting Started.
Getting started is actually one of the hardest parts when trying to become an artist. The second hardest thing is sticking with it. If you truly want to learn how to make beautiful works of art you’ll need to develop a high level of artistic skills and some persistence. I can teach you these skills. Reading the articles and lessons I provide here is a good place to start. There’s hundreds of them so don’t try to read them all at once!
It’s important to set up an art-making routine for yourself. Remove distractions and focus on incremental improvements. This works well, I promise. Working with a quality instructor will enable you to progress in the art of drawing and painting faster. Why? Because a good instructor will help you avoid costly mistakes thereby speeding up the journey to becoming a great artist! An effective instructor will also hold you accountable on a weekly basis.

What Makes John’s Method of Teaching Different?
When you take one of John’s drawing & painting courses or study with him directly under his mentorship program you get logical art-making at its finest. John deliberately avoids wishy-washy art philosophies. Rather, he takes more of a concrete, almost scientific approach to teaching. Why? Because he can replicate excellence and understanding with ALL of his students, not just the students who already have a talent for drawing and painting!
- Imagine having an exact process for creating beautiful works of art.
- Imagine being able to mix the exact colors you see!
- Enjoy making art rather than struggling
