Christmas Reindeer Drawing (easy)

This post will instruct you how to draw a Christmas reindeer. We will pay attention to the shapes of each part and types of contours drawn ensuring that the artwork looks right.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Outline The Head

   

   Start by making an outline of the reindeer’s head.

2. Form The Face

   

   Now, draw an oval for its eye. Next, add a rounded triangle on its snout to draw the nose. Then, form the mouth by drawing curved lines attached to the bottom of the nose.

3. Attach The Ears

   

   Draw the pointed outline of the reindeer’s ears. Next, draw a curved line to form the inner ear.

4. Draw The Antlers

   

   Next, form its long branch-like antlers attached to the top of its head.

5. Outline The Body

   

   Now, outline its elongated body connected to its head. Then, add the triangular shape of its tail.

6. Attach The Legs

   

   Form the shape of its thin, long legs attached to the bottom of its body. Draw horizontal lines near the ends of its legs to form the hooves.

7. Draw The Harness

   

   Draw the harness on the reindeer’s snout and body similar to the illustration. Make sure to erase parts of its body that overlap with the harness!

8. Add A Collar

   

   First, outline the rectangular shape of the collar. Then, draw circles below the collar to form the bells.

9. Complete The Christmas Reindeer Drawing

   

   Now, let’s add some festive colors to our Christmas reindeer! First, fill in the eyes with a black crayon and add some shimmer using a white crayon. Next, use a red crayon to color the harness and collar. Use a yellow crayon to fill in the bells on the collar. Now, use a dark brown crayon to shade the antlers, nose and hooves. Then, use a cream colored crayon to color the inner ears, snout and underbelly. Finally, use a brown crayon to shade the rest of the reindeer’s head and body.
