Draw Christmas Decorations!

In today’s post, we will learn to draw Christmas decorations on paper. The location and proportion of each part will be considered in each step of the lesson. Note that the blue pencil lines are used to indicate the current components being drawn in each step.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

1. Outline The Garland

   

   First, outline the fuzzy texture of the garland similar to the illustration.

2. Add Christmas Bulbs

   

   Now, let’s hang Christmas bulbs on the garland! To draw this ornament, start by drawing a circle. Next, add the small rectangular cap. Then, draw a short vertical line for the string.

3. Draw Star Ornaments

   

   Let’s add more Christmas decorations by drawing star-shaped ornaments in between the Christmas bulbs.

4. Form Ribbons

   

   Next, form ribbons near the top of the garland! To draw a ribbon, start by drawing a small circle. Then, attach triangular shapes on both sides of the circle as shown.

5. Draw The Ribbon Ends

   

   Now, draw the ends of the ribbon connected to the bottom similar to the illustration.

6. Complete The Christmas Decorations Drawing

   

   Let’s complete our drawing of Christmas decorations! First, use a red crayon to color the ribbons. Next, fill in the stars with a yellow crayon. Now, shade the Christmas bulbs with a sky blue crayon. Color the cap of the bulbs with a gray crayon. Then, shade the garland with a green crayon.
