How To Draw A Camel: All Steps

In this lesson, we will begin with a new piece of paper and learn how to draw a camel in no time. We will consider the proportions of each part of the camel.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Outline The Head

    First, outline the shape of the camel’s head.

  2. Draw The Face

    Now, draw a shaded circle for the camel’s eye. Then, create two lines curving upward to form its nose and mouth.

  3. Attach The Ear

    Draw a rounded shape with a diagonal line attached to the camel’s head to form its ear.

  4. Outline The Body And Tail

    Next, outline the bumpy shape of the camel’s body. Make sure to emphasize the humps on its back as shown. Then, draw two long lines with a pointed shape attached to the tip to form its tail.

  5. Form The Legs

    To form the camel’s legs, draw the thin long shapes attached to the bottom of the camel’s body. Add a small curving line on the calves to emphasize its shape.

    Let’s give life to our drawing of a camel. First, use a dark brown crayon to color the tip of its tail and the inner ear. Then, shade the rest of the camel’s body with a light brown crayon. Feel free to add shadows to some parts of the camel’s body by using darker shades of brown as shown.
