How to Draw a Christmas Cat

In this tutorial, we will begin with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw a Christmas cat in 9 illustrative steps. We will pay attention to the shape and size of each of the drawn parts of the Christmas cat.

1. Outline The Head

   

   Outline the rounded shape of the cat’s head. Don’t forget to add its pointed ears!

2. Form The Face

   

   Draw two shaded circles for the eyes and a small triangular shape for the nose. Now, form the mouth by first drawing two curved lines attached to the bottom of the nose. Next, add a smaller curved line to draw the opening of the cat’s mouth. Then, draw triangles to form the inner ears. Finally, add the whiskers by drawing diagonal lines on its cheeks.

3. Add A Santa Hat

   

   Start by drawing the fluffy outline of the Santa hat’s cuff. Next, draw the triangular shape of the hat’s body. Then, add the fluffy rounded pom pom at the tip of the hat.

4. Draw The Collar

   

   Let’s draw a collar for the cat to wear! First, draw a small rectangle to form the center of the collar’s ribbon. Next, add the looped parts of the ribbon as shown. Then, draw a curved line below the cat’s head to form the collar.

5. Attach A Bell

   

   Draw the rounded outline of a bell attached below the ribbon. Draw two curved lines to add details to the bell. Then, add a small curved shape at the bottom to form the hole of the bell.

6. Form The Forelegs

   

   Next, draw the elongated shape of the cat’s forelegs attached to the bottom of its head. Add short lines to outline its paws.

7. Add The Hind Legs

   

   Now, outline the shape of the cat’s hind legs attached to the sides similar to the illustration. Don’t forget to add short lines to outline the paws. Then, draw a rounded triangular shape on the bottom of its paws.

8. Outline The Tail

   

   Draw the wavy outline of the cat’s tail.

9. Complete The Christmas Cat Drawing

   

   Let’s color our Christmas cat drawing! First, use a white crayon to color the cuff and pom pom of the santa hat. Next, use a red crayon to color the body of the Santa hat and the cat’s collar. Now, use a yellow crayon to color the bell on its collar. Use a dark red crayon to color the inside of its mouth. Then, fill in the inner ears, nose, and bottom paws with a pink crayon. Use a brown crayon to color its outer ears, the ends of its paws and the tip of its tail. Finally, shade the rest of its body with a cream colored crayon.
