In this lesson, we will begin with a blank piece of paper and learn how to draw a Christmas polar bear in 9 illustrative steps. It’s best if we notice the proportions of each part of the Christmas polar bear.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

Form The Head
First, draw the curved outline of the polar bear’s head. Attach C-shaped lines on each side of the head to form the ears. Next, draw two circles for the eyes. Now, add the rounded nose then attach two curved lines for the mouth. Finally, draw the outline of the snout around the nose and mouth.

Add The Hat
Start by drawing the cuff of the hat. Next, draw a curved line above the cuff. Then, add the fluffy pom pom on top.

Draw The Neckband
Draw the shape of the neckband below the polar bear’s head.

Attach The Arms
Next, attach the elongated shape of the bear’s arms connected to the neckband similar to the illustration.

Form The Present
Form the rectangular outline of the present. Add two vertical lines to draw the strip of ribbon.

Attach A Ribbon
Attach the tied part of the ribbon above the present as shown.

Add Texture To The Fabric
Add texture to the fabric on the bear’s hat and clothes by drawing evenly spaced lines.

Form The Legs
Next, outline the shape of the bear’s legs. Then, form the paws on each leg as shown.

Complete The Christmas Polar Bear Drawing
Let’s color the Christmas polar bear! First, fill the eyes, nose and bottom paws with a black crayon. Add some shimmer to the eyes using a white crayon. Next, use a gray crayon to color the snout. Now, shade the rest of the polar bear’s fur with a white crayon. Use red and gray crayons to color the winter hat. Then, for the sweater, use red and green crayons. Finally, color the present using a blue crayon and the ribbon with a white crayon.
