In today’s tutorial, we will discover how to draw a cow on paper. The location and proportion of each part will be pointed out in each step of the lesson. Take notice that the blue pencil lines are used to show the new parts being drawn in each step.
Time Needed: 30 minutes
Outline The Head
Draw a curved line to outline the cow’s head.
Add The Face
Create two shaded ovals to form the eyes. Form the snout by drawing a curvy shape with two dots. Draw a line curving upwards to create the mouth.
Attach The Ears And Horns
Attach small V-shaped lines on top of the cow’s head to form its horns. Draw pointed shapes on each side of its head to create its ears.
Outline The Body
Outline the curvy shape of the cow’s body.
Attach The Legs
Form thin long shapes attached to the bottom of its body to draw the cow’s legs. Add curved lines to the bottom of each leg to form its hooves.
Outline The Udder
Draw a bumpy curved shape below its body to form its udder.
Add The Tail
Draw a thin narrow shape with a pointed tip attached to the cow’s body to create its tail.
Create The Pattern
Create the spot pattern around the cow’s body by drawing wavy rounded shapes as shown. Draw two curving lines on its head as well.
Complete The Cow Drawing
Let’s color the cow’s horns with a yellow crayon. Next, use a pink crayon to shade its snout, mouth, udder and inner ears. Now, use a black crayon to fill in the spot patterns around its body, its hooves and the tip of its tail. Finally, shade the rest of the cow’s body with a white crayon.
