In this article, we will begin with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw a cute lion in 9 instructive steps. It is best to observe the shape and size of each part of the cute lion.

Draw The Eyes And Nose
Draw two shaded circles for the eyes and a curved oval to form the nose.

Form The Mouth
Add two oval shapes attached to the lion’s nose. Then add a line curving upwards to create the bottom of the lion’s mouth.

Add The Whiskers
First, draw several horizontal lines on each side of the upper mouth. Don’t forget to add dots to the upper mouth for texture!

Outline The Head And Mane
Outline the lion’s head by drawing a curved line. Next, form the furry shape of the lion’s mane as shown.

Add The Ears
First, draw two semi-circles above the lion’s face. Then, create a curved line on each ear.

Draw The Forelegs
Add the lion’s forelegs by drawing vertical shapes with bumps on the bottom to form paws.

Form The Hind Legs
Draw the hind legs of the lion as shown in the illustration.

Add The Belly And Tail
Add the belly by drawing short lines between the front paws and forelegs. To form the tail, draw a thin, wavy shape. Then, attach a pointy shape to the tip of the tail.

Complete The Cute Lion Drawing
Let’s finish our drawing of a cute lion by adding some color! First, color the nose, mane, and the tip of the tail with a dark brown crayon. Next, use a light orange crayon to shade the mouth, underbelly and the inner parts of the ears. Finally, shade the rest of the lion’s fur with an orange crayon.
