How to Draw a Farmer Farming

In this lesson, we will begin with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw a farmer farming in 9 instructive steps. It’s best if we observe the shape and size of each part of the farmer farming.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

First Draw The Head

First, draw the curved outline of the head. Add a small C-shaped bump to form the ear. Next, draw two circles for the eyes. Now, add short curved lines for the nose and mouth.

Add The Straw Hat

Form the base of the straw hat on top of the farmer’s head. Then, attach the top part of the hat.

Form The Overalls

Now, form the shape of the farmer’s overalls similar to the illustration. Next, add a big pocket in the middle.

Outline The Boots

Outline the farmer’s boots below his overalls.

Form The Hoe’s Blade

Let’s draw a hoe for the farmer to use! First, draw curved lines to form the blade of the hoe.

Attach The Handle

Attach the long rod-like shape of the hoe’s handle to the top part of the blade.

Add The Arms

Draw the curving shape of the farmer’s arms. Then, form the hands holding the hoe as shown.

Outline The Ground

Outline the ground by drawing wavy horizontal lines.

Complete The Drawing Of A Farming Farmer

Time to add some color to our drawing of a farming farmer! First, fill in the eyes with a black crayon and the head with a peach crayon. Now, shade the straw hat with a yellow crayon. Next, color the farmer’s shirt with a white crayon and his overalls with a blue crayon. Then, use a green crayon to color his gloves and a red crayon for his boots. Use a gray crayon to color the hoe’s blade and an orange crayon for its wooden handle. Finally, cover the ground with a dark brown crayon.
