Time Needed: 30 minutes
Form The Head
First, draw the curved outline of the head. Next, add small C-shaped lines on each side of the head to form the ears. Then, outline the farmer’s curly hair by drawing a bumpy line.
Draw The Face
Now, draw two circles for the eyes. Add thin oval shapes above the eyes to form the eyebrows. Next, outline the mustache. Then, draw a curved line for the nose and mouth.
Outline The Hat
Outline the shape of the farmer’s straw hat on top of his head.
Add The Collar
Draw two triangles to form the collar of the farmer’s shirt. Then, add a diagonal line to draw the shoulders.
Draw The Overalls
Start by drawing vertical lines to form the shoulder straps. Next, outline the shape of the overalls as shown. Then, add a big pocket in the middle.
Outline The Boots
Outline the farmer’s boots similar to the illustration.
Attach The Arms
First, form the sleeves of his shirt. Then, draw the shape of his arms and hands.
Add A Pitchfork
Draw the long rod-like handle of the pitchfork. Then, attach the shape of its thin pointy tines.
Complete The Farmer Drawing
Let’s give life to our drawing of a farmer by adding some color! First, fill the eyes with a black crayon. Next, color the hair and mustache with an orange crayon. Now, use a peach crayon to shade his skin. For his straw hat, use a light brown crayon. For his shirt, use a red crayon. For the overalls, use a blue crayon. For his boots, use a yellow crayon. Then, color the pitchfork with brown and gray crayons.
