In today’s basic drawing lesson, we will learn how to draw a hamster on paper. The location and proportion of each part will be observed in each step of the lesson. Observe that the blue pencil lines are used to indicate the current lines being drawn in each in each of the steps.
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Create The Face
First, draw shaded ovals to form the hamster’s eyes. Next, create a small triangular shape for the nose. Then, attach two curved lines at the bottom of its nose to form its mouth.

Form The Head
Form the hamster’s head by drawing a curved line as shown. Add some small bumps to emphasize its furry texture.

Add The Ears
Draw the pointed shape of the hamster’s ears on top of its head.

Form The Body
First, form the outline of the hamster’s body attached to the bottom of its head. Next, add two curved lines to form its forelimbs.

Add The Paws
Draw the shape of the hamster’s paws attached to the ends of its limbs and at the bottom of its body similar to the illustration. Add small lines on its paws to form the claws.

Complete The Hamster Drawing
Let’s add some color to our hamster drawing! First, use a pink crayon to shade the nose, inner ears, and paws. Use a dark brown crayon to color the outer ears. Then, shade the head and body using orange and white crayons.
