This post will instruct you how to draw a rooster. We will draw attention to the shapes of each section and types of contours created making sure that the artwork looks correct.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

Form The Head
Form the shape of the rooster’s head similar to the illustration. Emphasize the hackle feathers by drawing zigzag lines at the bottom.

Draw The Wing
Draw the rooster’s long curving wing attached to the bottom of the hackle feathers.

Create The Body
Create the rooster’s body by drawing a pointy rounded shape as shown.

Add The Tail
Add the long curving shape of the rooster’s tail connected to its body.

Draw The Face
Draw a shaded circle to create the rooster eye. Next, form the pointed shape of its beak as shown.

Attach The Comb And Wattle
Now, form the curvy shape of the rooster’s wattle attached to its beak. Then, draw the wavy shape of the rooster’s comb on top of its head.

Add The Legs
Add the rooster’s feathery legs by drawing the two shapes connected to the bottom of its body.

Form The Claws
Form the rooster’s sharp pointy claws similar to the illustration shown. Don’t forget to draw the rooster’s sharp spurs attached to the back of its legs.

Complete The Rooster Drawing
Let’s use a red crayon to color the rooster’s comb, wattle, and wing. Next, shade the tail, the top part of its legs, and the bottom part of its hackle with a dark blue crayon. Now, color the feathers on its head and body with a brown crayon. Then, use a yellow crayon to shade its beak and claws.
