How to Draw a Scary Clown

In this tutorial, we will start with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw a scary clown in a series of 9 steps. It’s best if we proportion out the shape and size of each of the drawn parts of the scary clown.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Draw The Head

   

   First, draw a U-shaped line to outline the clown’s head. Next, draw small C-shaped lines to form the ears.

2. Form The Face

   

   Now, draw two circles for the clown’s eyes. Add a slightly bigger circle for the clown’s nose. Next, draw heart shapes diagonally to form its brows. Now, outline its open mouth. Then, draw small V-shaped lines for its teeth.

3. Add The Hair

   

   Add the clown’s fluffy hair by drawing three bumpy shapes.

4. Attach The Clown Collar

   

   Form the shape of the clown collar by making a wavy line. Next, draw a short straight line on every bump as shown.

5. Form The Upper Body

   

   Start by drawing the shape of the torso. Next, draw a straight line at the center. Then, form the curved shape of the raised arms.

6. Add The Hands

   

   Create the clown’s hands at the end of the drawn arms.

7. Draw The Pants

   

   First, outline the shape of the pants. Then, draw vertical lines to add some pattern.

8. Create The Clown Shoes

   

   Don’t forget to draw the clown’s big shoes! First, outline the shape of the shoes. Then, add curved lines on the toe and heel of the shoes.

9. Complete The Scary Clown Drawing

   

   Let’s finish our drawing of a scary clown! First, use a red crayon to color the hair and nose of the clown as well as the toe of its shoes. Next, use a white crayon to color the skin and teeth. Now, use a blue crayon to color the brows and the heel of the shoes. For the clown’s upper body costume, use orange and green crayons. Then, for the clown’s pants, use blue and green crayons. Finally, use a yellow crayon to shade the clown’s collar and the rest of the shoes.
