- Pencil
- Drawing Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Black Marker (optional)

In this article, we will start with a new piece of paper and discover how to draw a scary looking pumpkin in about twenty minutes or so… The red eyes are optional…don’t draw them if they are too scary!!!

Outline The Pumpkin
Outline the bumpy shape of the pumpkin.

Carve Out The Face
Next, let’s carve out a scary face on the pumpkin! Start by drawing two semi-circles for the eyes. Then, draw a triangular-like shape for the nose and a curving zigzag shape for the mouth.

Draw The Iris And Pupil
Now, let’s draw the scary pumpkin staring back at us ominously by adding two circles in its eyes.

Attach The Stem
Draw the curving shape of the spooky pumpkin’s stem attached on top.

Form The Leaves And Ribs Of The Pumpkin
Draw the bumpy ribs of the pumpkin by creating curved lines. Then, form wavy curving leaves growing on the sides of the pumpkin.

Complete The Scary Pumpkin Drawing
Let’s finish our drawing of a scary pumpkin by adding some color! First, use a black crayon to fill in the carvings on the pumpkin as well as the pumpkin’s pupil. Now, color the iris with a red crayon. Next, shade the stem and the leaves with a green crayon. Then, color the rest of the pumpkin with an orange crayon.
