How to Draw a Water Tower

Are you excited to begin? Let’s get right into the fun of drawing a water tower! To start, we will focus on creating simple outlines. This is an important step because it sets the foundation for your drawing. As you outline, pay close attention to how the shapes relate to one another in size. 1. Outline the Water Tank

   

   First, draw two vertical lines to outline the water tank.

2. Attach the Roof

   

   Next, draw a triangular outline for the water tank’s roof. Then, add diagonal lines along the roof for texture.

3. Add the Railing

   

   Draw a long horizontal railing below the body of the water tank. Then, add evenly spaced vertical lines to attach the balusters.

4. Form the Base of the Tank

   

   Next, draw a curved base beneath the water tank.

5. Attach the Legs

   

   Draw four long legs attached to the base of the tank. Make sure to erase any extra lines.

6. Add the Support Beams

   

   Next, draw horizontal support beams connecting the legs.

7. Draw Diagonal Support Beams

   

   Start forming the cross-shaped support beams by drawing thin diagonal rods as shown.

8. Complete the Cross Beams

   

   Then, draw diagonal support beams in the opposite direction to form cross shapes between the legs of the water tower.

9. Color the Water Tower Drawing

   

   First, color the water tank blue and its base with light gray. Now, color the roof light brown. Then, use dark gray for the railings. Finally, use a light grayish-blue color for the legs and support beams.
