In this tutorial, we will learn how to draw a witch hat with your drawing materials. Pay attention to the various sizes and shapes contained in the example drawing of the witch hat. The lines in each step is drawn blue so you can see the most recent parts that you should be working on.

Form The Brim
Create a long curved shape to form the brim of the witch hat. Draw some small V-shapes on the edges of the brim to add some tears in the hat!

Draw The Band
Draw the band circling the base of the hat’s crown by drawing a horizontal rectangle.

Attach A Buckle
Attach a buckle on the band by creating two squares at the center. Erase parts of the band that overlap with the buckle.

Form The Crown
Start forming the witch hat’s crown by drawing two wavy lines connected to the band.

Draw The Tip Of The Hat
Now, extend the crown of the hat into a wavy, pointed tip as shown.

Complete The Witch Hat Drawing
Let’s finish our drawing of a witch hat by first coloring the band with a brown crayon. Next, fill in the band buckle with a yellow crayon. Then, shade the rest of the witch hat with a purple crayon.
