In today’s lesson, we will discover how to draw an alpaca on paper. The shape and proportion of each part will be highlighted in each step of the tutorial. Note that the blue outlines are used to show the new lines being drawn in each step.
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Form The Face
First, draw two shaded ovals for the eyes. Next, create a small triangular shape for the nose. Draw a rounded shape attached to the bottom of the nose to form the snout. Draw the mouth by creating a line curving upwards.

Draw The Head
Draw two bumpy curved lines to form the alpaca’s head.

Add The Ears
Form the pointed shape of the alpaca’s ears attached on top of its head.

Outline The Body And Tail
Outline the bumpy elongated shape of the alpaca’s body. Next, add the fluffy tail connected to the body.

Attach The Legs
Draw the fluffy long legs of the alpaca connected to the bottom of its body. Next, form the bottom part of its legs and add hooves.

Complete The Alpaca Drawing
Let’s add some color to the alpaca drawing! First, use a light brown crayon to shade the inner ears, snout, mouth, and the bottom part of the alpaca’s legs. Next, use a pink crayon to color the nose. Fill in the shimmer in the alpaca’s eyes with a white crayon. Then, shade the rest of the alpaca’s body using a white crayon.
