This post will teach you how to draw an anteater. We will draw attention to the shapes of each section and types of contours created so that the drawing looks right.

Outline The Snout
Outline the anteater’s snout by drawing the curved line as shown.

Add The Face
First, draw a slanted oval for the eye. Next, create a semi-circle with a curved line inside to form the ear. Now, draw a line facing downwards for the nose. Then, outline an S-shaped line for the tongue.

Draw The Body
First, create the outline of the anteater’s body. Next, draw the fur pattern on its back by forming the wavy lines as shown.

Attach The Tail
Attach the anteater’s tail by drawing a bumpy shape.

Draw The Legs
Draw the anteater’s legs by first forming the outline of the legs. Next, form three thin triangular shapes attached to the bottom of each leg to draw the claws.

Complete The Anteater Drawing
Let’s complete the anteater drawing by first coloring the forelegs and the inner part of the fur pattern with a white crayon. Next, use a pink crayon to shade the tongue and inner part of the ears. Then, use a black crayon to color the nose and outer part of the fur pattern. Finally, use a dark gray crayon to shade the rest of the anteater’s body.
