Time Needed: 30 minutes
Outline The Ice Skates
Start by drawing the shape of boots to outline the ice skates.
Draw The Stiching
First, draw a curving line from the ankle to the toe cap. Next, add a line near the bottom to create the outsole.
Attach The Blade
Attach the blade by adding a thin, curving shape at the bottom of the ice skates.
Add curved lines between the outsole and blade to form the stanchions.
Draw The Lacing
Draw several curved lines to create the lacing.
Outline The Hook
Form a curved shape with a slightly pointed tip at the very top for the skates to hang on to.
Add The Shoelaces
Attach diagonal lines on the topmost eyelet to form the shoelaces hanging from the hook.
Form The Rest Of The Shoelaces
Draw the tied part of the shoelaces by creating curved lines. Next, form the excess shoelaces in between the hanging ice skates by drawing four thin shapes similar to the illustration. Don’t forget to add the tips of the shoelaces by drawing a shaded rectangular shape.
Complete The Ice Skates Drawing
Let’s complete our ice skates illustration by adding some color. First, use a red crayon to fill in the hook. Next, use a gray crayon to color the blades. Then, shade the sole of the ice skates with a black crayon. Now, use a cream colored crayon to color the laces. Finally, use a light blue crayon or even white to fill in the rest of the ice skates!
