How To Draw Jelly Beans: All Steps

In this tutorial, we will learn how to draw jelly beans with your drawing materials. We will consider the different sizes and shapes within the artwork of the jelly beans. The pencil lines in each step is drawn out in blue so you can plainly see the most recent shapes that you will be creating.

  1. Outline A Jelly Bean

    Outline a jelly bean by making a round blob as shown.

  2. Draw Two Jelly Beans

    Draw two jelly beans beside the first one by creating the same round blob shape.

  3. Add More Jelly Beans

    Add more jelly beans to our drawing by filling the empty spaces with round blobs. Be sure to erase any overlaps between jelly beans.

  4. Draw Another Jelly Bean

  5. Add One More Jelly Bean

    Add one more jelly bean separated from the main clump beside the last one. Notice how each jelly bean is drawn from a slightly different angle.

    Color the jelly beans with vibrant colors like red, blue, orange and green to finish our jelly beans illustration. Add purple shading to add some shadows. Then, use a white crayon to shade the top part of the jelly beans lightly. This adds a highlight to each jelly bean and makes them look a bit shiny.
