How to Draw Max from the Grinch

In this lesson, we will begin with a new piece of paper and discover how to draw Max from the Grinch in 9 illustrative steps. We will notice the shape and size of each of the drawn parts of the Max from the Grinch.

1. First Draw The Face

   

   First, form two circles to draw Max’s eyes. Next, draw a bigger rounded shape for the nose. Then, add two curved lines below the nose to form the mouth.

2. Outline The Head

   

   Outline the shape of Max’s head as shown.

3. Attach The Ears

   

   Draw the long drooping ears attached to both sides of the head.

4. Form The Body

   

   Next, draw an elongated oval to form the body.

5. Add The Forelegs

   

   Form the shape of the forelegs connected to the torso. Then, add short lines to outline the toes.

6. Draw The Hind Legs

   

   Draw the shape of his folded hind legs attached to his sides as shown. Then, add short lines to draw the toes.

7. Outline The Antler

   

   Outline the curved shape of an antler on top of Max’s head.

8. Add A Ribbon

   

   First, draw three vertical lines on the antler on top of Max’s head. Then, form the tied part of the ribbon by drawing curved lines as shown.

   Let’s now color our drawing of Max! First, use a red crayon to color the ribbon and his nose. Next, fill his eyes with a black crayon. Now, color the antler with a yellow crayon. Then, use a brown crayon for the ears. Finally, use an orange crayon to shade the rest of Max’s body.
