By the end of this lesson we will arrive at a finished drawing of a Grinch face by working on one part at a time. This project will take 9 steps in total as we continue to draw each area moving closer to the completed drawing. The finished drawing will be beautified with color resulting in a artwork you will love!

Outline The Head
Start by outlining Grinch’s furry head similar to the illustration.

Form The Brows
Next, add his two curling brows. Then, draw curved lines connecting the two brows together.

Add The Eyes
Draw two ovals to outline the eyes. Add a narrow oval at the center of each eye to draw the pupils. Then, form the outline of his cheeks by drawing a curved line below the eyes.

Draw The Nose
Outline the shape of his nose as shown.

Form The Mouth
Now, let’s draw Grinch’s iconic mischievous smile! First, draw a slightly curved vertical line. Next, form his long curling smile. Then, add a short curved line below his smile to outline his bottom lip.

Attach The Base Of The Hat
Let’s start drawing a santa hat for the Grinch to wear! First, draw the fluffy base of the hat attached to the top of his forehead.

Add The Body Of The Hat
Now, form the triangular-like shape of the hat’s body similar to the illustration.

Draw The Pompom
Next, draw the fluffy rounded pompom attached to the tip of the santa hat.

Complete The Drawing Of Grinch Face
Let’s add some color to our drawing of Grinch’s face! First, use a white crayon for the base and pompom of the santa hat. After that, color the rest of the santa hat with a red crayon. Next, color the Grinch’s eyebrows and nose with a dark green crayon. For the eyes, use yellow and brown crayons. Then, use a light green crayon to shade the Grinch’s skin.
