Time Needed: 30 minutes
Draw The Face
First, draw two shaded ovals for the eyes. Next, create a rounded triangle for the nose. Now, make a rounded shape connected to the bottom of the nose as shown. Then, form the bottom of the mouth by making a line curving upwards.
Outline The Head
Outline the rounded shape of the jaguar’s head.
Attach The Ears
Attach the jaguar’s ears by making a pointed shape with a diagonal line on both sides of its head.
Outline The Body
Outline the elongated shape of the jaguar’s body.
Attach The Legs
Form the jaguar’s legs attached to the bottom of its body as shown.
Add The Tail
Add the thin wavy shape of the jaguar’s tail attached to its body.
Form The Underbelly
Form the jaguar’s underbelly by drawing a curved line as shown. Make sure to erase any parts of the underbelly that overlap with the legs!
Draw The Fur Pattern
Jaguars have rose-like patterns on their fur called rosettes. To draw these rosettes, create small rounded and C-shaped blobs on the jaguar’s fur as shown.
Complete The Jaguar Drawing
Let’s finish our jaguar drawing by adding some color! First, shade the nose and inner part of the ears with a brown crayon. Next, use a white crayon to shade the mouth, underbelly, and inner parts of the legs and tail. Then, use a combination of yellow and orange crayons to fill in the rest of the jaguar’s body.
