Masking Out Backgrounds in Watercolor

In this tutorial you will learn a step by step process for masking out a background in a watercolor painting. This will enable you to confine complex painting techniques to a specific area. I’ll be painting inside a silhouette of Bart Simpson. Without the mask I would risk painting on undesirable areas of paper.
