Santa Claus Drawing with Reindeer

In this lesson, we will learn how to draw Santa Claus drawing with reindeer on paper. To make sure it looks great, we will proportion out the different sizes and shapes of each part of the Santa Claus with his reindeer. The drawn lines in each step is drawn in blue so you can see the most recent parts that you will be working on.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Form The Reindeer’s Head

   

   First, draw an oval shape to outline the head. Next, add two circles to form the eyes. Then, attach the snout by drawing a line curving downwards. Finally, draw a small rounded triangular shape to form the nose. Don’t forget to draw curving lines attached to the nose to give the reindeer a mouth.

2. Attach The Antlers And Ears

   

   First, attach the ears by creating two pointy shapes. Add a curvy line in the middle to add the inner ears. Then, draw the shape of antlers similar to the illustration.

3. Draw The Body And Tail

   

   Outline an elongated shape to form the body. Add a pointy shape at the end to give the reindeer a tail.

4. Attach The Legs

   

   Add four thin long legs attached to the bottom of the reindeer’s body. Draw a horizontal line at the bottom of each leg to form the hooves.

5. Draw Santa’s Face

   

   Draw two circles for the eyes. Next, form Santa’s mustache by creating two pointy, elongated shapes. Next, add a line curving upwards attached to the mustache to draw his mouth. Finally, draw a line curving downwards within the mouth to form the tongue.

6. Form Santa’s Hat And Beard

   

   Attach a bumpy shape to the face to create Santa’s fluffy beard. Next, draw an elongated shape for the base of the hat. Then, draw a dome-like shape for the body of the hat. Don’t forget to add a small circle at the end of the hat to add some detail.

7. Add Santa’s Body

   

   Outline the shape of Santa’s body as shown. Draw two circles to add the buttons. Next, form a rectangular shape to create the belt buckle. Add four horizontal lines connected to the belt buckle. Don’t forget to add some detail at the bottom of his jacket by drawing a wavy line.

8. Attach The Arms And Legs

   

   First, attach legs by forming two columnar shapes below the body. Draw an L-shape on each leg to give Santa some boots. Next, outline the shape of his arms. Add the visible cuff on Santa’s arm to complete his jacket.

9. Complete The Drawing Of Santa With His Reindeer

   

   Let’s complete the drawing of Santa with his trusty reindeer! First off, let’s shade the reindeer’s fur with a brown crayon and its antlers and hooves with a darker shade of brown. Next, let’s color the reindeer’s underbelly and inner ears with a lighter shade of brown. Then, fill in the eyes with a black crayon. Finally, let’s color its nose a bright red! Now, for Santa, let’s use a flesh colored crayon to color his face. Next, use a cream colored crayon to fill in his beard. Use a reddish purple shade to color his inner mouth, socks, and mittens. Then, color the buttons of his jacket along with his buckle using a yellow crayon. Use a black crayon to shade his boots, belt, and eyes. Now, use a white crayon to color the base and tip of his hat, along with the details of his jacket and cuffs. Finally, fill in the rest of his clothing using a red crayon.
