Tiger Drawing For Kids: All Steps

In today’s guided lesson, we are going to learn how to create a tiger drawing for kids on paper. The size of each part will be highlighted in each step of the lesson. Note that the blue lines have been drawn to show the current parts being drawn in each in each of the steps.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Form The Head

    Tiger Drawing For Kids: Step 1

    First, draw a furry rounded shape to outline the tiger’s head. Next, draw two oval shapes for the eyes. Now, create an oval for the nose. Add two circles attached to both sides of the nose. Then, draw a line curving upward to form the bottom of its mouth.

  2. Attach The Ears

    Draw two rounded shapes with diagonal lines on top of the tiger’s head.

  3. Add The Body And Tail

    Draw the elongated curvy shape of the tiger’s body. Then, attach a thin wavy S-shape attached to the tiger’s body.

  4. Draw The Legs

    Now, form the shape of the tiger’s legs attached to the bottom of its body similar to the illustration.

  5. Draw Tiger Stripes

    First, draw a horizontal line on the tiger’s cheeks. Next, let’s draw a pattern of thin pointed shapes on the tiger’s body. This makes your drawing look like your tiger has striped fur.

  6. Complete The Tiger Drawing

    Let’s complete the tiger drawing by adding some color! First, use a pink crayon to shade the nose. Now, fill in the bottom of its face, the inner parts of its ears, underbelly, and bottom of its paws with a cream colored crayon. Next, color the tiger’s stripes using a dark brown crayon. Then, shade the rest of the tiger’s body with an orange crayon.
