Winter Coat Drawing (easy)

By the end of this lesson we will arrive at a finished drawing of a winter coat by creating one section at a time. This project will take 6 steps to complete as we continue to create each part moving closer to the completed work of art. The completed work of art will be topped off with color creating a work of art you will want to share with friends!

Time Needed: 20 minutes

1. First Draw The Opening Of The Hood

   

   Form the fluffy outline of the hood’s opening. Don’t forget to draw the rectangular zipper slider at the bottom.

2. Form The Rest Of The Hood

   

   Outline the rest of the hood by drawing a rounded shape around the fluffy part. Next, draw diagonal lines to form the lining on the hood.

3. Draw The Body Of The Winter Coat

   

   Now, form the rectangular body of the winter coat. Next, add horizontal lines to form the lining. Then, draw a rectangular strip at the bottom to draw the hem.

4. Add The Zipper Tape

   

   Add the vertical zipper tape at the center of the winter coat’s body. Don’t forget to erase parts of the winter coat that overlap with the zipper tape.

5. Attach The Sleeves

   

   Attach the elongated shape of the sleeves on both sides of the winter coat’s body. Add diagonal lines to form the lining on the sleeves. Then, attach the cuffs by drawing a rectangular strip attached to the bottom of the sleeves.

6. Complete The Winter Coat Drawing

   

   Let’s color our easy drawing of a winter coat! First, use a white crayon to shade the fluffy part of the hood. Next, color the cuffs and hem of the winter coat as well as the inner part of the hood with a dark blue crayon. Now, shade the zipper tape with a dark gray crayon and the zipper slider with a lighter shade of gray. Then, color the rest of the winter coat with a blue crayon.
