In this lesson, we will begin with a new piece of paper and discover how to draw a birthday card in a series of 6 steps. We will consider the shape and size of each part of the birthday card.

Outline The Card
Begin by drawing a big rectangle to form the birthday card. Then, slightly show the other side of the card on the right.

Form The Balloons And Birthday Gifts
Draw three round balloons on the top corners of the card. Now, add rectangular boxes at the bottom to make it look like gift boxes.

Add Ribbons
Form the ribbons on the birthday presents similar to the illustration. Make sure to erase any extra lines.

Outline The Text
Create the outline of the words “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

Decorate The Letters
Make the letters even more fun by adding patterns to them. You can also add wicks with flames or put birthday hats on top of some letters.

Complete The Birthday Card Drawing
Grab your crayons and let’s add some color to your birthday card drawing! First, fill in the background of the card with a white crayon. Next, color the letters with soft and pastel colors. Use a yellow crayon to shade the flames attached to the letters. Now, use vibrant colors to fill in the balloons and birthday presents.
