Materials

This tutorial will teach you how to draw an albertosaurus. We will pay attention to the shapes of each part and types of contours drawn so that the drawing looks right.
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Outline The Head
First, outline the elongated shape of the albertosaurus’ head similar to the illustration. Form the mouth opening by drawing a V-shape.

Add The Facial Features
First, draw a small circle for the eye. Next, draw a dot to form the nostril. Now, draw zigzag lines inside its mouth to add its sharp razor teeth.

Outline The Body
Now, outline the dinosaur’s oval shaped body. Draw a long pointed shape at the end of its body for its tail.

Add The Arms
Form the shape of its small arms attached to the torso. Then, add two claws on the end of each arm as shown.

Attach The Legs
Draw the albertosaurus’ long legs attached to the bottom of its body. Next, form its clawed feet as shown. Don’t forget to add dewclaws by drawing small V-shaped lines at the back of its legs.

Complete The Albertosaurus Drawing
Let’s add some color to our drawing of the albertosaurus! First, fill the eye with a black crayon. Next, color its sharp teeth with a white crayon. Now, shade its body, arms and legs with a light green crayon. Then, add some yellow shading on its underbelly. Finally, draw striped patterns on its back using a dark green crayon.
