Antelope Drawing

In today’s lesson, we are going to discover how to draw an antelope drawing on paper. The size of each part will be considered in each step of the tutorial. Observe that the blue outlines are used to show the newest lines being created in each in each of the steps.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Draw The Face

   

   Draw two shaded ovals for the eyes. Next, draw a rounded triangle to form the nose. Finally two lines curving upward to form the mouth.

2. Outline The Head

   

   Outline the head of the antelope by drawing an oval shape around the face.

3. Attach The Horns

   

   Attach two curvy pointed shapes on top of the antelope’s head to form the horns. Don’t forget to add multiple horizontal lines to give some texture to the horns.

4. Add The Ears

   

   Add ears to the antelope drawing by using a pointed shape attached to each side of the head.

5. Outline The Body

   

   Outline an elongated shape to form the body of the antelope.

6. Add The Legs

   

   Attach four legs to the antelope as shown in the illustration.

7. Form The Tail

   

   Form a pointed shape attached to the body of the antelope.

8. Draw The Fur Pattern

   

   Draw the fur pattern using lines going across the antelope’s face and body as shown in the illustration.

9. Complete The Antelope Drawing

   

   To complete the antelope drawing, let us first use a black crayon to shade in the horns and nose. Next, use a yellow crayon to shade parts of the facial pattern and underbelly of the antelope. Then, use a dark brown crayon to fill in the fur pattern and hooves as shown. Finally, use an orange crayon to color the rest of the antelope’s body!
