  • Drawing Paper
  • Crayons or Colored Pencils
  • Black Marker (optional)

Basil Drawing: All Steps

This step by step lesson will teach you how to draw basil. We will draw attention to the shapes of each part and variety of outlines drawn ensuring that the drawing looks right.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Draw The Base Of The Pot

    Draw the lower part of the pot.

  2. Complete The Planter Pot

    Basil Drawing: Step 2

    Draw the top part of the pot. Now we will be drawing basil plants growing in the planter.

  3. Draw The First Plant

    Add the first set of leaves and basil stalk on the right side of the planter.

  4. Add Another Basil Stalk

    Draw a large basil plant that grows out of the center of the planter.

  5. Draw The Last Basil Plant

    Draw one last plant near the left side of your paper.

  6. Complete Your Drawing

    Grab your crayons or colored pencils and start coloring your basil drawing.
