Bison Drawing

This post will teach you how to draw a bison. We will draw attention to the shapes of each part and variety of lines drawn ensuring that the drawing looks convincing.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Form The Face

   

   Start forming the bison’s face by drawing two shaded ovals. Create a bigger oval with two dots to draw the nose. Add a small curved line below the nose to form the mouth.

2. Outline The Head

   

   To outline the head, draw two diagonal zigzag lines connected to the bison’s nose.

3. Add The Hair

   

   Draw the hair on top of the bison’s head by creating a bumpy rounded shape.

4. Draw The Horns

   

   To draw the bison’s horns, add a curved pointy shape on each side of its head.

5. Add Its Mane

   

   Form the mane of hair around the bison’s torso by drawing a bumpy shape similar to the illustration.

6. Outline The Body

   

   Outline the bison’s long curvy body connected to the mane.

7. Attach The Legs

   

   Draw the shape of the bison’s legs attached to the bottom of its body. Add a curved line near the end of each leg to form the hooves.

8. Add The Tail

   

   Add the thin wavy shape of the bison’s tail attached to its body. Don’t forget to draw the pointed shape of the tip of its tail.

9. Complete The Bison Drawing

   

   Let’s give life to our drawing of a bison by adding some color! First, use a white crayon to shade its horns. Next, use a pink crayon to color its nose and mouth. Now, shade the hair on top of its head and on its torso using a dark brown crayon. Then, color the hooves and tip of its tail using a black crayon. Finally, shade the rest of the bison using a light brown crayon.
