Bubble Gum Drawing: All Steps

In this tutorial, we will learn how to draw a bubble gum drawing on paper. To ensure the artwork is successful, we will pay attention to the different sizes and shapes of each part of the bubble gum. The drawn lines in each illustration is color-coded blue so you can see the current shapes that you will be drawing.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Draw The Bubble Gum Box

    Create a rectangular box to draw the bubble gum wrapper.

  2. Add The Opening

    Add the opening of the bubble gum wrapper by drawing the lines as shown.

  3. Draw The Folds

    Let’s add more detail to the bubble gum wrapper by drawing the folds shown.

  4. Outline The Gum

    Outline the shape of the gum using a rectangular shaped line coming out of the bubble gum wrapper.

  5. Add The Wrapper

    Let’s draw the individual wrapper of the bubble gum by drawing a zigzag line on both sides of the gum. Then, draw a diagonal line on both sides of the gum as shown.

  6. Create The Gum Pattern

    Create the bubble gum pattern by drawing repeated zigzag lines across the bubble gum’s surface.

  7. Design The Packaging

    Let’s design the packaging of the bubble gum wrapper by drawing a rectangle-like shape with the lines curving inside to make a stretched out gum effect.

  8. Write The Text

    Write the text “Bubble Gum” inside the border on the packaging.

  9. Complete The Bubble Gum Drawing

    To finish our bubble gum illustration, color the packaging with a yellow crayon. Add a bit of depth by shading the edges using an orange crayon. Then, use a green crayon to color the background of the text. Next, color the bubble gum with a pink crayon. Lastly, color the wrapper around the bubble gum with a purple crayon.
