In today’s guided lesson, we are going to discover how to draw a caecilian drawing on paper. The shape and proportion of each of the drawn parts will be observed in each step of the lesson. Observe that the blue outlines have been drawn to indicate the newest elements being drawn in each step.

First Draw The Head
First, draw an elongated D-shape to outline the caecilian’s head.

Add The Face
Now, draw a dot for the eye. Add a smaller dot for its nostril. Then, draw a wavy line to form its mouth.

Outline The Body
Now, outline the caecilian’s body by drawing two long, wavy lines.

Attach The Tail
Attach the pointed shape of its tail by drawing a long V-shaped line.

Draw The Annuli
Draw wavy lines along the caecilian’s body to add the rings on its skin called annuli.

Complete The Caecilian Drawing
Let’s add some color to our caecilian drawing! First, use a cream-colored crayon to color its underbelly. Then, shade the rest of its body with a brown crayon.
