In this article, we will start off with a new piece of paper and learn how to create a chipmunk drawing in no time. We will pay attention to the shape and size of each part of the chipmunk.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

Outline The Head
Outline the pointy shape of the chipmunk’s head as shown. Make sure to emphasize the bumpy shape of the chipmunk’s cheek pouches!

Draw The Eye And Nose
First, draw the chipmunk’s eye with a shaded oval. Next, draw a curved line to form its nose.

Attach The Ears
Attach the pointed shape of the chipmunk’s ears to the top of its head as shown. Then, draw a curve to form the visible fold of its ear.

Outline The Body
Outline the curvy shape of the chipmunk’s body.

Attach The Limbs
First, let’s draw the hind limb by forming a bumpy curved line. To draw the chipmunk’s hind paws, form an elongated shape attached to the bottom of the hind limbs. Next, draw the forelimb by creating a curved bumpy line. To create its front paw, draw a rounded shape attached to the end of the forelimb. Don’t forget to draw the lines on the paws!

Add The Tail
Add the bumpy curved shape of the chipmunk’s tail.

Draw The Fur Pattern
Start off with drawing the lines around the chipmunk’s eye and along its cheeks. Next, form the striped pattern along the side of the chipmunk’s body. Then, draw two wavy curved lines along its tail.

Draw A Peanut
Let’s give the chipmunk a peanut to hold! To draw a peanut, first outline a curvy rounded shape. Then, draw two wavy vertical lines as shown.

Complete The Chipmunk Drawing
Let’s complete the chipmunk drawing by adding some color! First, use a pink crayon to color its nose and inner ear. Next, use a dark brown crayon to shade the outer stripes of the chipmunk’s fur pattern on its tail and body. Now, use a light yellow crayon to color the fur pattern on the chipmunk’s cheek and around its eye. Use a light yellow crayon as well for its belly and for the center stripes on its tail and body. Then, use a brown crayon to color the rest of the chipmunk’s fur. Finally, use an orange crayon to shade the peanut.
