Cool Dinosaur Drawing

This tutorial will teach you how to draw a cool dinosaur. We will draw attention to the shapes of each part and variety of contours drawn making sure that the drawing looks correct.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

1. Draw The Head

   

   First, outline the head of the cool dinosaur. Then, draw a circle to form the eyes. Add small V-shaped lines inside the mouth to give it some sharp teeth.

2. Outline The Body

   

   Outline the oval shaped body of the dinosaur to form its body.

3. Add The Legs

   

   Add the dinosaur’s long legs. Then, form the shape of its clawed feet.

4. Attach The Arms

   

   Attach the arms of the cool dinosaur by drawing a narrow shape and forming claws at the end.

5. Form The Underbelly

   

   Outline the underbelly of the dinosaur by drawing a curved shape across the torso. Add lines across the underbelly to give it some texture.

6. Add The Tail

   

   Form its long wavy tail attached to its body.

7. Draw A Tophat

   

   Give our dinosaur a bit of character by drawing a tophat! Start by drawing the base of the hat with a narrow rounded shape. Then, draw a cylindrical shape of the hat on top of the base. Finally, draw a line on the cylindrical shape to add detail.

8. Outline The Cane

   

   Outline the cane by drawing a narrow shape similar to the illustration.

9. Complete The Cool Dinosaur Drawing

   

   Let’s make our cool dinosaur even cooler! First, use a black crayon to color the dinosaur’s eye, and the base and top part of its hat. Next, use a yellow crayon to shade the hat’s details along with the underbelly. Use a white crayon to fill in the teeth of the dinosaur. Then, color the cane with a brown crayon. Finally, let’s use a green crayon to shade the rest of the dinosaur’s body!
