In this how-to article, we will start off with a new piece of paper and learn how to draw a cute bat drawing in a series of steps. It’s best if we pay attention to the proportions of each part of the cute bat.
Time Needed: 30 minutes
Draw The Face
First, draw two ovals for the eyes. Next, draw a triangular shape with rounded corners for the nose. For the mouth, draw two lines curving upward attached to the bottom of the nose. Then, add two small V-shaped lines to draw the fangs.
Form The Head
Form the shape of the bat’s head by drawing a rounded shape with two bumps on both sides.
Attach The Ears
Attach the ears by first making a wavy V-shape outline. Next, draw the fold of the ear by drawing a curved line with a small zigzag at the bottom.
Draw The Body
First, draw a bumpy shape attached to the head. Then, draw an oval within an oval to form the body of the bat. For the bat to look cute the body should be quite small.
Form The Clawed Feet
Form the clawed feet attached to the body by drawing an elongated shape with two lines.
Draw The Arms
Draw the bat’s arms by creating a thin pointed shape as shown. Don’t forget the short pointed shape attached which is the bat’s thumb!
Form The Wing Membrane
Form the wing membrane by drawing a bumpy line on both sides of the bat’s body.
Attach The Fingers
Attach the bat’s fingers on the wing membrane by drawing thin, curved lines connected to the pointed part of the wing membrane.
Complete The Cute Bat Drawing
Let’s complete our cute drawing of a bat! First, use a pink crayon for the ears and nose. Next, use a black crayon for the eyes. You can add hints of white to the eyes for some shine. Now, use a very light purple crayon to color the fluffy fur and a more vibrant purple for the belly. Then, color the wings with a purple crayon. Lastly, shade the remaining parts of the body with a muted and less saturated purple.
