We will arrive at a finished drawing of a beach chair by tackling one area at a time. It will take 9 steps in total as we continue to draw each section which will get us closer to the completed work of art. The finished artwork will be topped off with color resulting in artwork you will want to share with friends!

Outline The Backrest
Outline the backrest of the beach chair by drawing a rectangle.

Draw The Stile
Draw the stile on both sides of the backrest by forming a thin rectangular shape. Now, create a line inside the drawn rectangles.

Attach The Armrest
Attach the armrest of the beach chair by making two long thin rectangular shapes. Next, draw a line inside the armrest as shown.

Add Front Legs
Add the front legs of the beach chair by drawing two long thin rectangular shapes. Then, draw a line inside following the shape of the front legs.

Draw The Seat
Draw the seat by making a rectangle with rounded corners.

Add Rear Legs
Add the rear legs by forming long thin rectangular shapes like in the previous steps. Then, create a line following the shape of the rear legs.

Attach Back Stretcher
Attach the back stretcher to the bottom of the beach chair by drawing three diagonal lines.

Draw Seat Pattern
Draw the seat pattern by first forming diagonal lines on the backrest. Next, create diagonal lines with a hooked end on the seat.

Complete The Beach Chair Drawing
Let’s complete the beach chair by adding some color! First, color the pattern on the seat and backrest of the beach chair by alternating light and dark green colors. Next, use light and dark orange crayons to shade the wooden parts of the beach chair.
