By the end of this lesson we will arrive at a finished drawing of a sugar glider by working on one area at a time. The drawing will take 9 steps in total as we continue to create each area which will get us closer to the completed drawing. The final work of art will be shaded with color resulting in a artwork you will be proud to show off!

Outline The Head
Outline the shape of the sugar glider’s head.

Draw The Face
Draw two shaded ovals for the eyes. Next, create a rounded shape for the nose.

Add The Fur Pattern On The Head
Now, let’s add the fur pattern on top of the sugar glider’s head by creating three wavy V-shaped lines.

Attach The Ears
Let’s draw two ears on top of the sugar glider’s head. To draw the sugar glider’s ear, create a pointed shape with a diagonal line.

Outline The Body
Outline the furry oval shape of the sugar glider’s body.

Attach The Limbs
Draw the sugar glider’s limbs attached to its body similar to the illustration.

Draw The Skin Flap
Form the skin flap between the sugar glider’s arms and legs by drawing two curved lines.

Add The Tail
Add the sugar glider’s fluffy tail attached to its body.

Complete The Sugar Glider Drawing
Let’s complete the sugar glider drawing by adding some color! First, use a pink crayon to color the nose, hands, feet, and inner part of the ears. Next, shade the tip of the tail, outer part of the ears, and fur pattern on the head with the dark brown crayon. Now, color the rest of the tail and the skin flap between the sugar glider’s arms and legs with a brown crayon. Finally, fill in the rest of the sugar glider’s body with a cream colored crayon.
