Draw Wheelbarrow: All Steps

In this tutorial, we will start off with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw wheelbarrow in 6 illustrative steps. We will consider the shape and size of each of the drawn parts of the wheelbarrow.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Form The Tray

    Draw Wheelbarrow: Step 1

    First, draw the shape of the wheelbarrow’s tray as shown.

  2. Attach The Handles

    Form thin diagonal rods attached to the tray to draw the handles of the wheelbarrow. Then, add small grips at the end of the handles.

  3. Outline The Wheel

    Now, draw a bumpy circular shape to form the wheel.

  4. Add The Rim

    Next, draw a smaller circle inside the wheel to outline the rim.

  5. Draw The Legs

    Draw the thin wavy shape of the wheelbarrow’s legs below the tray. Make sure to erase the parts of the wheel that overlap with the formed legs.

  6. Complete The Wheelbarrow Drawing

    Let’s unleash our creativity by adding some color to our wheelbarrow drawing! First, use shades of blue to color the tray, handle grip and wheel rim. Next, fill in the wheel with a dark gray crayon. Then, shade the metal handles and legs of the wheelbarrow with a light gray crayon.
