In this tutorial, we will start off with a new piece of paper and learn how to create an easy grocery store drawing in a series of steps. It’s best if we pay attention to the shape and size of each part of the grocery store.

Create The Signage
Let’s create a big signage for the grocery store by first making a rectangle. Next, write the text “GROCERY STORE” as shown.

Draw A Shopping Cart
First, draw a trapezoid then add two circular wheels. Next, attach a diagonal rectangle to form the handle of the cart.

Add Groceries
Now, let’s add some groceries into the cart. Draw an apple by making a curved shape. Add a stem by drawing a curved line on top of the apple and attach an oval shaped leaf. Next, draw the elongated shape of the bread as shown.

Outline The Walls
Outline the walls of the grocery store by drawing a rectangle.

Form The Doors
Draw the rectangular shape of the doors then add a vertical line in the middle. Then, write the text “ENTRANCE” and “EXIT” above the doors similar to the illustration.

Complete The Grocery Store Drawing
Let’s color our grocery store drawing! First, color the cart with a gray crayon and the wheels with a black crayon. Use a yellow crayon to color the handle of the cart. Fill the background of the signage with a white crayon. Next, use a red crayon for the apple and a green crayon for the leaf. Now, use a brown crayon for the bread. Then, fill the glass doors with a light blue crayon and shade the door framing with a dark brown crayon. Finally, paint the walls of the grocery store with brown and white crayon.
