In this tutorial, we will discover how to draw a boardwalk with basic drawing tools. Be sure to observe the various sizes and shapes contained in the example drawing of the boardwalk. The pencil lines in each step is drawn out in blue so you can identify the most recent lines that you should be drawing.

Draw The Shore In The Background
Let’s first draw the horizon line by creating a horizontal line. Form the shore by drawing curvy lines as shown. Now, add clouds by drawing bumpy round shapes.
Add A Ferris Wheel
Add a ferris wheel by drawing a ring shape with a circle in the middle.
Draw The Beams
Start creating the beams by drawing lines in the form of a cross.
Continue Forming The Beams
Continue forming the beams by drawing diagonal lines in the form of an X.
Attach The Supporting Base
Attach the supporting base by drawing a triangular shape.
Start Drawing The Walls Of The Boardwalk
Start drawing the walls by making three long curved lines.
Draw The Walls On The Other Side Of The Boardwalk
Draw the walls on the other side of the boardwalk by forming three curved lines similar to the previous step.
Add The Planks Of The Boardwalk
Add the planks of the boardwalk by making straight lines as shown.
Complete The Boardwalk Drawing
Let’s first color the boardwalk area with brown and orange crayons. Next, color the sand with a light brown crayon. Let’s color the ring and center of the ferris wheel with a red crayon. For the beams, use an orange crayon and for the base, use a purple crayon. Use a white crayon to shade the clouds. Finally, fill in the sea with a blue crayon and the sky with a light blue crayon.
