Bulldogs are fun to draw and fairly easy. The secret is to draw each body part with enough roundness to convey the bulldog’s distinctive short and stout body!
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Draw an Oval Shape
Draw the head of the bulldog with an oval.
Add Floppy Ears
Next draw the ears folding forward.
Draw Legs & Feet
Now draw the bulldog’s legs. Keep them short and stubby.
Add the Bulldog’s Body
Add the body and hind legs as shown.
Draw a Wide Face
Finally draw each part of the bulldog’s face.
Finish With Color
Darken the lines and add color to finish your drawing.

Bulldogs are considered to be friendly and calm dogs and as a result make good family pets. For this reason they rank as one of the most popular dog breeds.
One of their cutest attributes…their short snout sets them apart from other breeds in that owners need to take special precautions. Bulldogs can have difficulty breathing, especially in hot climates. For this reason steep hills, staircases and even water deep enough to swim in can present hazards to the bulldog.
Yale University uses a real live bulldog for their mascot. His name is Handsome Dan and is the official mascot for Yale’s sporting events!
