In this article, we will start with a blank piece of paper and learn how to draw a growing corn field in 6 instructive steps. It is best to pay attention to the shape and size of each part of the corn plants.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Draw A Fence
First, draw upright rectangles to form posts of the fence. Then, add horizontal rectangles to draw the rails of the fence.
Form The Stalks
Draw long vertical lines to form the stalks.
Add The Leaves
Draw pointed narrow shapes attached to the stalks to add the leaves.
Attach The Ears Of Corn
Form the oval shaped ears of corn attached to the stalks similar to the illustration.
Outline The Tassels
Form the outline of the tassels growing on top of the stalks.
Complete The Corn Field Drawing
Let’s complete our corn field drawing by adding some color! First, fill the fence with a light brown crayon. Now, color the stalks, leaves and husks with shades of green. Next, shade the kernels with a yellow crayon. Then, color the tassels with an orange crayon. Finally, cover the ground with a dark brown crayon and the sky with a light blue crayon.
