Materials
- Pencil
- Drawing Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Black Marker (optional)

In this step by step lesson, we will learn how to draw a dimorphodon with basic drawing tools. Pay attention to the various sizes and shapes within the artwork of the dimorphodon. The lines in each step is drawn out in blue so you can easily see the most recent parts that you should be creating.
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Form The Head
Form the oval-like outline of the dimorphodon’s head. Next, add a small circle for its eye. Then, create a line curving upwards to form its mouth.

Outline The Body
Outline the narrow oval shape of the dinosaur’s body.

Attach The Tail
Attach the long pointed tail at the bottom of its body. Don’t forget to form the oval-shaped tip of its tail.

Add The Limbs
Now, draw the dimorphodon’s thin limbs attached to its body as shown.

Outline The Wings
Outline the pterosaur’s wings attached to its limbs.

Complete The Dimorphodon Drawing
Let’s add some color to our dimorphodon drawing! First, use a blue green crayon to color its wings. Next, fill its eye with a black crayon. Then, shade the rest of its body with a green crayon.
