In this lesson, we will begin with a blank piece of paper and learn how to draw a dinosaur egg in 6 instructive steps. It’s best if we pay attention to the shape and size of each part of the dinosaur egg.

Outline The Eggshell
Start by drawing a U-shaped line.

Form The Cracks
Draw a zigzag line as shown to form the opening of the eggshell. Add some vertical zigzag lines to draw smaller cracks.

Draw A Baby Dinosaur
Now, outline the shape of a baby dinosaur peeking out from inside of the shell. Add a small circle for the eye. Next, draw a dot for its nostril. Then, add its mouth by drawing a line below the nostril.

Add More Eggs
Let’s add more dinosaur eggs by drawing three more ovals.

Create The Pattern
Now, create the pattern on the eggshells by drawing blob shapes as shown.

Complete The Drawing Of A Dinosaur Egg
Now, let’s color our dinosaur egg drawing! First, fill the baby dinosaur’s eye with a black crayon. Next, color the dinosaur’s body with a blue crayon. Now, shade the pattern on the eggshells with a green crayon. Finally, color the rest of the eggshells with a yellow crayon.
