In this beginner’s lesson, we are going to discover how to draw a dinosaur footprint with your drawing materials. Be sure to observe the different sizes and shapes within the artwork of the dinosaur footprint. The pencil lines in each step is outlined in blue so you can see the current parts that you should be drawing.

Draw The Base Of The Left Footprint
Create a U-shaped line to form the base of the dinosaur’s footprint.

Form The Toes
Form the toe prints by drawing a wavy line.

Add The Claws
Add the claw prints above the toes by drawing small triangles.

Draw The Right Footprint
Similar to the left footprint, start by making an outline of the right footprint’s base with a U-shaped line. Then, form the shape of the toes attached to the base.

Attach The Claws
Draw small triangles above the toe prints to form the claws.

Complete The Drawing Of A Dinosaur Footprint
Let’s finish our dinosaur footprint drawing by adding some color! Use a brown crayon to shade the footprints. You can also use a darker shade of brown on the edges to add some color variation.
