In this beginner’s lesson, we are going to learn how to draw a diving board with your drawing materials. Be sure to observe the various sizes and shapes of each part of the diving board. The lines in each step is drawn in blue so you can easily see the most recent shapes that you should be creating.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Draw The Platform
Draw a diamond-like shape on the left side of your paper. Then add more volume under the main shape to make the diving platform look 3D.
Add The Diving Board
Then, draw an elongated rectangular shape on the right side of the platform. This becomes the actual diving board used to spring upwards by divers.
Draw The Foundation
Next, draw the foundation that supports the platform. Refer to the illustration shown here.
Add The Ladder Railing
After that, add the ladder’s railing that just barely shows up around the corner of the diving board’s foundation.
Add The Handles
Finalize your drawing with the handles on both sides of the platform.
Complete Your Drawing
Grab your coloring materials and begin coloring your drawing.
