In this lesson, we will start off with a new piece of paper and learn how to draw a fishing boat in 9 illustrative steps. It’s best if we consider the proportions of each part of the fishing boat.

Outline The Hull
Outline the hull of the fishing boat by forming the shape similar to the drawing.

Draw The Cabin
Draw the cabin by making two vertical lines and attaching a horizontal rectangle on top.

Add The Portholes
Add the portholes of the fishing boat by drawing evenly spaced ring shapes on the hull and cabin.

Create A Lifebuoy
Let’s create the outline of the lifebuoy by drawing a circle. Now, make another circle. Then, draw four curved lines inside the lifebuoy.

Form The Boom And Mast
Now, draw a long vertical rectangle to form the mast. Next, create a circle then attach a long diagonal rectangle to draw the boom.

Draw The Wire
Draw straight lines attached to the boom and mast as shown.

Form The Fishing Net
Form the fishing net by first creating four straight lines branching out from the end of the wire. Next, create bumpy horizontal lines as shown.

Draw The Water
Now, draw the body of water surrounding the fishing boat by making wavy horizontal lines.

Complete The Fishing Boat Drawing
Complete the fishing boat drawing by first coloring the hull with an orange crayon. Next, let’s fill in the outer part of the portholes with a brown crayon and the center of the portholes with a blue crayon. Now, shade the boom and mast of the fishing boat with a brown crayon. Don’t forget to color the lifebuoy using white and red crayons. Then, color the wall of the cabin with a white crayon and the roof with a red crayon. Finally, use a light blue crayon to shade the sky and a darker blue crayon to fill in the body of water.
