The goal is to complete a drawing of a gorilla by drawing one part at a time. It will take 9 steps to complete as we continue to draw each area which will get us closer to the completed drawing. The final drawing will be perfected with color resulting in a work of art you can be proud of!

Outline The Face
Outline the face of the gorilla by drawing a curvy shape.

Draw The Eyes, Nose, And Mouth
First, draw two shaded circles with a diagonal line attached above to form the eyes of the gorilla. Next, draw a curved line with two shaded circles below to draw the nose. Finally, attach a line curving upwards to form the mouth of the gorilla.

Form The Forehead
Form a curved line above, attached to the face to form the gorilla’s forehead.

Attach The Ear
Create two, small semi-circles to attach the ears.

Outline The Body
Outline the gorilla’s body by drawing an elongated shape attached to the head.

Draw The Limbs
Draw the strong limbs of the mighty gorilla by attaching vertical lines to the body with curvy lines at the bottom.

Attach The Hands And Feet
Attach hands and feet to each of the limbs of the gorilla as shown in the illustration.

Draw The Gorilla’s Back Pattern
Draw two vertical lines on the body of the gorilla to highlight the pattern on its back.

Complete The Gorilla Drawing
To complete the illustration, use a dark gray crayon to shade the head, forelimbs, and hindlimbs of the gorilla. Next, use a light gray crayon to fill in the face, back and hands of the gorilla.
